Adam Dingsdale cruised to his second straight professional victory on Saturday night.
The lightweight boxer (pictured) from Hoo was back in the ring for the first time in five months and comfortably saw off Bulgarian Yordan Vasilev.
Vasilev came in to replace original opponent Mark McKray at short notice but was no match for Dingsdale.
It was another step in the right direction for the 24-year-old.
He said: "In the first few rounds I took some silly shots and he was strong. He was coming off a win himself against a kid who was unbeaten in 15.
"He had recently fought for the international masters title but I wasn’t worried.
"I was well up for the fight and when I kept him at long range, I didn’t get hit again.
"I keep improving with every fight and that’s the aim. I am already back in the gym now and preparing for another fight next month."
Dingsdale is on show again on June 8 against Slovakian Stefan Koller at the Doncaster Dome before facing his first six-round bout in September.
