Motorcyclist taken to hospital by air ambulance after crash in Clandon Road, Lordswood

A motorcyclist has been taken by air ambulance to hospital following a crash.

Officers and paramedics attended Clandon Road, Lordswood, this morning following a collision involving a van and a motorcycle.

The man was treated for his injuries at the scene.

An air ambulance landed in Swingate Infant and Nursery School's field in Whimbrel Walk where they took the rider to a London hospital for further medical attention.

Kent Police and paramedics were called at 10.30am.

A spokesman for the South East Ambulance Service said the man was airlifted to Kings College Hospital in a serious condition.
