A woman and a young child have been airlifted to hospital after a collision with a car on a busy road this morning.
Emergency crews were called just after 10am when the pedestrians were involved in an accident with the vehicle.
Paramedics, officers and the fire service were called to the City Way, Rochester, at the bottom of the busy route from the town to the motorway network.
It’s believed they were taken to King’s College Hospital and their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The helicopter landed at Jackson’s Fields, near a recreation ground and left the scene about an hour and a half later.
Traffic was reported to be moving slowly along City Way.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: “One fire engine attended, and crews administered first aid to two people, who were passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics.”
Police and paramedics have been approached for more information.
