Air ambulance lands at Lower Lines Park near Asda in Gillingham

An air ambulance has taken off from a park following an incident near an Asda superstore.

The helicopter was spotted landing at Lower Lines Park in Gillingham just before 5pm today (December 19).

It spent around 90 minutes on the ground before returning to its base at Redhill.

It is understood medics were called to attend to an emergency in a residential area near the Asda superstore, but the circumstances are not yet known.

Police and the ambulance service have been contacted for more information.
