Chatham manager Alex O’Brien has told his players that he wants nothing less than two wins from their remaining two Ryman League Division 1 South matches.
The Chats are at home to Walton & Hersham on Saturday before bringing the curtain down on their campaign at Ashford a week later and O’Brien is desperate to end his side’s winless run, which stretches back eight matches.
He said: "These are two massive games for us and I want six points from them, otherwise we will end the season with a sour taste in our mouths."
Chatham have been in freefall since their 2-1 win over Whitstable at the end of January, which left them in seventh place in the table.
They are now 17th following last Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat by leaders Croydon Athletic.
O’Brien (pictured) added: "It’s important that we finish on a high note."
O’Brien will be without Chris Henry for the final two games after Ebbsfleet recalled the centre-half back from his loan spell but the good news for O’Brien is that striker Rob Denness, who played 90 minutes for the reserves on Tuesday, comes back into the squad.
