Health and safety experts from Medway Council have launched an investigation into a chemical leak at an Amazon depot.
Several people were treated for facial injuries on Friday morning after the incident at the company's London Medway Commercial Park site on the Hoo Peninsula.
It is understood the incident involved a HGV trailer which had arrived on the site, before police, ambulance and firefighters were called at about 3.45am.
This week Medway Council confirmed the incident had been reported to its health and safety department officials, who are now investigating.
Amazon PR Manager David Nieberg said four people had been taken to hospital on a precautionary basis on Friday, but all were able to go home the same day.
He added: “We can confirm there was an incident involving a trailer that arrived at our Rochester site last week. The safety of our employees is always our priority and a full investigation is under way. The site remains fully operational.”
