Two arrests made in connection with Rochester High Street assault

Another arrest has been made with regards to a high street attack which left a man in hospital with a bleed on his brain.

Two men have now been arrested in connection with the assault which took place in Rochester High Street.

The 28-year-old victim was left unable to talk and with a bleed on his brain after he was punched on Saturday, January 25.

His brother, Sam Barguss, 30, said he was set upon by three men in an unprovoked attack near The Jolly Knight and Kings Head hotel.

A 23-year-old man from Sittingbourne and a 24-year-old man from Gillingham were arrested on suspicion of assault yesterday. They were later released pending further investigation.

Investigating officers are still appealing for people who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
