Armed police descended on a road yesterday after an incident.

Officers were called at 2pm to reports that a man had made threats concerning some people he knew in Main Road, Hoo.

Patrols, including armed officers, attended the scene and emergency service vehicles were seen parked up in the area.

A police helicopter also attended.

A suspect in his 40s was later arrested in connection with the incident.
