Police called to crash near Luton Arches in Chatham as Gillingham man arrested

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving following a crash.

Police were called to the incident near Luton Arches in Chatham shortly before 9pm last night.

Two cars had collided on the roundabout at Chatham Hill, New Road, Magpie Hall Road and the High Street.

No one was seriously injured but police and paramedics attended as well.

A police spokesman confirmed they were called at 8.49pm.

A 38-year-old man from Gillingham was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and remains in custody.
