Arrest after man found dead at house in Beatty Avenue in Gillingham

An arrest has been made after a man was found dead in a house.

Police were called to a report a man in his 50s had died at an address in Beatty Avenue, Gillingham at around 10pm on Tuesday (May 21)

Residents reported seeing around 15 officers, including forensics, from 5am yesterday (May 22).

They reportedly left at around 11pm.

Officers are investigating the cause of the man’s death which remains unknown at this time.

Police have confirmed a man in his 40s was arrested in connection with the incident.

He has since been bailed until August 14 while the investigation continues.

The deceased’s next of kin have been informed and a report will be completed for the coroner.
