Two arrests after video of McDonald's fight in Strood shared online

Police investigating a brawl in McDonald's which was filmed and shared online have arrested two men.

Officers were called to the restaurant in Commercial Road, Strood, at 3.20am on Saturday, April 21.

Footage appeared to show three men ganging up on a security guard, who was pushed to the floor and hit with a wet floor sign.

Detectives probing the incident arrested a 24-year-old and a 23-year-old, both from Rochester, last Thursday.

Both have been released, pending further inquiries.

After the incident a McDonald’s spokesman said: “The safety and security of our people and customers is our absolute priority, and it is extremely disappointing to see this sort of behaviour in the restaurant.

"We do not tolerate any form of violence or abuse and will be cooperating fully with the police investigation.”
