Investigation after arsonists set fire to four cars in Chatham

Police are appealing for witnesses after four cars were set alight in the early hours of this morning.

The vehicles, which had been parked inside the secure compound of a business in New Road, Chatham, were damaged at around 2.40am.

Investigators suspect the men – described as white and both around 5ft 7ins – gained access to the premises through an adjacent children’s play area.

One is described as aged in his mid-20s and was wearing a black top with the hood up, light coloured jogging bottoms and white trainers.

The second man is described as aged between 19 and 21, with light brown hair and wearing a light-coloured hooded top, white jogging bottoms and white trainers.

He was also carrying a black petrol can.
