If walls covered in black mould and a ceiling which is falling in sounds like your dream home then this property could be one for you.

The mid-terrace townhouse, in Applecross Close, Rochester, is up on the market with estate agent Barnard Marcus for the bargain price of £230,000.

Spanning across three floors, the home, boasts three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a reception room, a cloakroom, a balcony, a garage and a garden.

Although, the property, off the Esplanade, might look inconspicuous from the outside and its description, pictures of the inside pose a very different story.

Advertised on the property website Rightmove, images show hallways and bathroom walls covered in what, at first glance, might appear to be black and white wallpaper but on closer inspection is thick mould.

The horror does not stop there as further photos show a gaping hole in one of the downstairs ceilings with the above wooden floorboards exposed and the fire alarm hanging from its wires.

Images from the bathroom also show broken toilets and dirty sinks and a busted garage door.

Despite the state it has been left in, the freehold for the fixer-upper home is on the market for the guide price of £230,000.

It is being sold at auction today (September 12).
