'Base jumper' charged with trespassing on rail tracks

An alleged base jumper has been charged with trespassing on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link line.

Daniel Sherry, 29, of Kitchener Road, Strood, was charged after an alleged base jumping incident at the Cuxton end of the Medway viaduct, on April 16.

British Transport Police charged him on Friday, September 26, and he will appear at Medway Magistrates Court, Chatham, on Friday, October 10.

Sherry has been released on bail and could face a maximum fine of £1000.
