Delays are expected after a biker appears to have been involved in a crash.

The machine was seen left on the A230 near Chatham , near the junction with Pilots View earlier this morning.

Cars can also be seen parked on the pavement.

It happened about half a mile away from Maidstone Road.

One eye-witness said: "Maidstone Road, Chatham, avoid.

"Bike accident, hope he or she's ok."

It is not yet known if anyone has been injured.

A police spokesman said: "Officers were called at about 10.15am on to reports of a collision between a car and motorcyclist at Pilots View, Horsted, near the junction with the A230.

"Officers are currently at the scene."
