Boy hit by car in Four Elms Hill, Chattenden

A school boy was hit by a car on a busy road this morning.

The child, whose age is unknown, was hurt in Four Elms Hill, Chattenden, near Strood at 7.45am.

Police partially closed the road while the boy was treated

Police partially closed the road as the boy was treated by paramedics at the scene.

He suffered a minor injury and did not have to be taken to hospital.

The driver of the car received a traffic offence report for careless driving. Police will decide what further action to take and the driver could face prosecution.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at around 7.45am on Friday, May 13, to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Four Elms Hill, Chattenden.

"Officers and paramedics attended the scene where the pedestrian, a child, was treated for a minor injury."

The child is thought to have been able to return home with his parents after being treated.
