Councillors have given the go-ahead for a brewery and tap room.

Moot Brew Co is opening in Upper Halling, near Rochester.

The business works within a converted barn at Court Farm in Pilgrims Road, which already hosts other businesses including a butchers and a farm shop.

Representatives from the company took part in a Medway Council meeting last week to discuss their plans.

Councillors were asked to decide whether to allow it to sell alcohol for consumption on and off site, between 10am and 6pm daily.

He objected to the plans as he was worried about the impact it would have on traffic.

Despite this, the panel granted a licence to Moot Brew Co, which is hoping to open for business in August.

The councillors' decision was returned on Tuesday.
