Maidstone service delayed after person collapses on bus at Chatham Waterfront station

A busy bus service was delayed after a person collapsed at the station.

Paramedics were called yesterday at 4.45pm to Globe Lane, known as the Chatham Waterfront bus station, following reports of concern for a passenger's welfare.

As a result, the Maidstone 101 bus service departing the station had to be suspended until the incident was resolved.

One ambulance crew attended and the person was assessed and treated before being taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.

Police have been asked for more information.
