A serious collision between a car and a lorry has happened on the M2.

Motorists have been warned to avoid the area or expect delays as vehicles were obstructing the lanes.

It happened near the Londonbound junction 1 of the motorway for Strood at about 1.45pm.

Police, crews from Highways England and paramedics are at the scene. At present no injuries have been reported

Work to clear the scene is ongoing,
