One lane has been blocked after a single vehicle car crash on a busy road.

Police are attending the accident, which happened on the northbound lane of the A229 going through Blue Bell Hill.

In a tweet police said: "As the weather turns please drive carefully, create a safe reactionary gap and adjust your speed."

Police spokesman James Walker said: "Police was called to a report a vehicle had been involved in a collision with a central reservation barrier on Blue Bell Hill, Chatham-bound, at 10.47am on Sunday October, 28.

"No injuries have been reported however a lane closure is in place while a car awaits recovery."
