Today a free crazy golf course has opened in an unlikely place.
Rochester Cathedral is home to the most holy, nine hole course in Kent.
The Adventure Golf challenge has been set up in the place of worship's medieval nave.
The theme is bridges and each hole will be accompanied by a different model including a mini Rochester bridge and Dartford Crossing.
It is being paid for by Rochester Bridge Trust, the charity which runs the town's river crossings.
The trust hopes this will encourage young people to learn more about the engineering behind bridges and boost church congregation numbers.
Before the course opened KentOnline spoke to the The Revd. Rachel Phillips and Simon Lace, chapter clerk at Rochester, who were both excited about the plans.
How to play:
Tickets cannot be pre-booked. Entry will be first come, first served.
Six people is the maximum per competing group.
All under 16 year olds must be accompanied by an adult.
The course is usually expected to be open;
- Monday to Friday 9:45am to 5pm (Last admission 4:15pm)
- Saturday 9:45 - 3pm (Last admission 2.15pm)
- Sunday 12:30 midday - 3pm (Last admission 2.15pm)
