Chatham boss Kevin Watson isn’t putting too much emphasis on their home clash with fellow early season pacesetters Grays.

The two teams lead the way in the Ryman League Division 1 North, without a defeat between them from their opening four games.

Chatham, with three wins and a draw, head into the match boosted by last weekend’s FA Cup preliminary round victory over Croydon Athletic.

Watson, pictured, said: "Every game is big for us and it is still so early that the league hasn’t formed its true pattern yet.

"There are a lot of teams currently behind us on seven points but one win and they will be up at the top and things could all change around in just one weekend.

"There is no more pressure on this game than any other. The good thing for us is that there isn’t a lot of expectation on us from anyone and that has helped.

"The players are able to play with more freedom and that’s important."

Brad Potter is back in training following a toe injury and will be in contention for a place in this weekend’s squad.

After an unbeaten start to the season it is a squad that are in confident mood.

"There is no doubt it’s a good dressing room to be in," added Watson.

"We’ve got people in the club who are realists and we won’t be getting carried away."
