Tom Dallas admitted there were lessons to be learned despite proving too powerful for his Hungarian opponent Gabor Farkas.

Dallas was never in trouble against Farkas but took some shots and admitted to being too eager to impress a hometown crowd baying for a knockout.

The Chatham heavyweight delivered inside just three rounds but admitted it was not his tidiest performance.

"I was a bit too eager," he said. "I kept following him and waiting to throw my shots but I was too eager to knock him out. I should have taken my time a bit more.

"I saw him getting out of breath and so I wanted to keep the pressure on him because I knew he was getting a bit tired. He stood and took some good shots and hit me with some good shots.

"He looked in good shape but he didn’t hurt me with his shots."

Dallas was last into the ring at Medway Park and he didn’t disappoint, with another brutal display.

The local hero came out fast, hitting good combinations in the first round, and hurting Farkas in the second with some timely body shots.

Farkas eventually crumbled in the third with several head shots sending the Hungarian to the canvas.

"It was quite tough and he took quite a few shots," said Dallas. "He threw some back as well which is what I wanted. Overall I was pleased with it."

Dallas didn’t emerge unscathed, however, as he finished the evening with a gash above his right eye following a clash of heads.

"I was a little concerned about the cut because I didn’t want the fight to be stopped if it was bad," he said.

In the end Dallas ensured the fight would be over in quick time, claiming his 11th KO victory to further enhance his reputation as one of the best young fighters on the British heavyweight scene.
