Two Chatham men are among a dozen people arrested on suspicion of carrying out multi-million pound tobacco fraud.

About 60 officers from HM Revenue and Customs swooped on a farm near Ashford on Tuesday.

The operation saw about 1.4 tonnes of hand-rolling tobacco siezed - which would have cost £200,000 in revenue.

Officers, assisted by Kent Police, searched one commercial unit and six homes near Ashford.

Two Chatham men, aged 37 and 24, were among those arrested and taken into custody. The other 10 all live in Kent.
