Aspiring bakers from a Chatham opticians have raised £300 as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Staff donned their chef whites to cook cakes and sweet treats for shoppers in the Medway town.

Specsavers store director Punit Patel thanked the people of Chatham for showing their support: "The team here was practising their baking skills for weeks in advance. Most of us know someone who has received help from Macmillan, and so we know what a difference the charity makes to the lives of those people."
