The fried chicken and waffle joint, Bird, will be open at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre, Gillingham this evening.

The menu boasts burgers, chicken and waffles, fried buttermilk chicken combos and thighs, sides, salads and desserts but there is something for everyone as the new spot also offers gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.

The eatery is one of the franchise's first outside of London where it has restaurants in Islington, Camden, Canary Wharf, and Brixton.

Bird was set up in 2014 in Hoxton and serves fresh ingredients and cooks from scratch every day using British red tractor assured chicken and a collective of small farms.
