A Co-op branch will be shut for more than two months to undergo a major makeover.

The store in Delce Road, Rochester, closed its doors at the start of the week and will be given self-scan tills as part of the refurb.

New refrigeration and chillers are being installed, and there will be an increased range of fresh and chilled produce.

Back of shop improvements are being added as well as self-scan tills which are hoped to provide “added ease and speed” for customers.

The shop floor will also be slightly increasing in size.

The branch will be reopening on Thursday, December 5.

In the meantime, the nearest locations are in Marley Way, Rochester Riverside and Pattens Lane.
