Coastguards will assist other emergency services if staff and vehicles become stranded across the Towns.

The team has a 4x4 for coast rescues which has been put on standby.

It will be used to transport paramedics and equipment and support the emergency services.

Routine coastguard service will continue while staff are on standby through the winter weather.
