Cocaine dealer pleads guilty after arrest in Richmond Road, Gillingham

A drug dealer has pleaded guilty with intent to supply cocaine after being arrested on Tuesday.

Roland Lake, of Park Road, Kennington, was stopped by police patrolling Richmond Road, Gillingham, at around 8pm, earlier in the week.

The 42-year-old was stopped and searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act and the officers, who specialise in targeting county lines dealers, uncovered a quantity of cocaine and cash.

The force then searched a nearby house which Lake was known to visit many times where more cocaine was uncovered as well as a small amount of cannabis.

Lake was charged with possessing cocaine with intent to supply and possessing cannabis.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court yesterday where he admitted both offences.

He was released on bail ahead of his sentencing at Maidstone Crown Court at a date to be confirmed.
