Medway Norse cleaning van smashes into wall in Archery Close, Cliffe Woods

A video has circulated online of council employees crashing into a front garden.

It appears to show a Medway Norse van smash into a small brick wall in Archery Close, Cliffe Woods, before three men get out to put it back together.

The workers stack the bricks and sweep away debris before leaving the area without informing homeowner Debs Eccott of the damage.

She said: "It's all been repaired now with no fuss which is good.

"I was just shocked as to how they thought they could get away with it – good job I've got cameras."

Police were contacted about the incident which happened around 1pm on Tuesday.

Medway Norse chairman Cllr Rupert Turpin said: "The incident is being investigated and the householder has been contacted.

"The damage to the wall will be repaired by Medway Norse as soon as possible and there will be an internal investigation of the incident with the employees concerned."

Police inquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.
