Crash between minibus and car closes Cuxton Road, Strood

A crash between a car and a minibus has closed a main road in the Towns.

The collision happened on Cuxton Road, Strood, not far from the cemetery.

It is not thought anyone has suffered life-threatening injuries in the collision and paramedics are still at the scene.

Police spokesman James Walker, said: "Kent Police was called at around 3.20pm regarding a collision involving a car and a van on Cuxton Road, Strood near its junction with Polar Road.

"Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service are currently at the scene where three people are reporting injuries.

"The road is closed while emergency services are dealing with the incident."

It is understood the road will be partially reopened once ambulance crews have left the scene. Motorists are being told to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
