Four-car crash on A229 at Bluebell Hill

Motorists suffered problems this morning after a four-car crash on the A229 at Bluebell Hill.

Kent Highways warned drivers to expect delays and to "proceed with caution" in surrounding areas on the Maidstone Road south of the M2 junction 3 for Maidstone and Chatham and Rochester.

The crash happened around 8am.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at 8.14am to a collision involving four vehicles on the Maidstone-bound carriageway of the A229.

"Officers are at the scene along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service. No serious injuries are believed to have been reported."

Kent Highways said at 10.15am that delays had cleared.
