Firefighters were called after two cars were set alight in Rainham in the early hours of this morning.

The burning cars - found 100 metres apart from each other in West Motney Way off Lower Rainham Road - were well alight by the time crews arrived, and were completely destroyed.

Crews were on the scene for an hour and police were informed.
