A kitchen fire at a home near a mosque sparked an emergency response from the fire service last night.
Crews were called to Chatham Hill, Chatham, at around 5.50pm to reports of a blaze in a kitchen.
Witnesses saw two fire engines, police and the ambulance service at the property next to Chatham Mosque.
A fire service spokesman said: "Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to put out the fire and a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke from the property.
"There were no reported injuries at this incident."
