No casualties were reported and it is believed to have started accidentally after a chip pan was left cooking on a hob without supervision.

A flat fire also left one person needing treatment over the weekend.

Following the incident, Kent Fire and Rescue Service are asking people to take extra care in the kitchen and to never leave cooking unattended.
