Teenager suffers serious injuries after 'hit and run crash' in Delce Road, Rochester

A man has been arrested after a cyclist was seriously injured in an alleged hit and run crash in Rochester.
The rider, who has not been named, is said to have suffered severe head injuries after colliding with a Ford Fiesta in Delce Road.
The incident happened shortly after 8.30pm on Monday.
Police closed the road for several hours while investigators carried out their inquiries and the 16-year-old rider was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital, in Gillingham.
Officers found the Fiesta nearby shortly after, and launched a hunt to find the driver.
A 31-year-old man from Rochester was arrested in Gravesend High Street on suspicion of dangerous driving at about 10.20am on Tuesday, and has now been bailed pending further inquiries until February.
Police are appealing for information.
A spokesman for police said: "It is reported that a blue Ford Fiesta was in collision with a teenager riding a pushbike that was travelling south on Delce Road.
"The Fiesta is then reported to have collided with a stationary white Peugeot 308 before apparently leaving the scene.
"The 16-year-old cyclist was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries."
