A multi-vehicle crash caused long delays on the M2.

Queues formed on the London-bound stretch of the motorway, between J5 A249 Stockbury roundabout near Sittingbourne and J4 A278 Hoath Way near Gillingham.

The crash happened at around 5.30pm and is believed to have involved five vehicles.

The slip exit to the Medway Services was blocked.

Drivers were asked to approach with caution but all lanes were reopened by 7pm.

Police has been asked for more information.
