Detectives investigating a robbery on a cash delivery van outside Walderslade Village HSBC on December 29 have charged a second man.
William Karungire, 20, of Dorset Road, London, went before Medway magistrates on Wednesday charged with robbery.
At the time, the incident shocked villagers who were getting their morning papers at the nearby Co-op store.
One pensioner, who lives in Boxley Road and asked not to be named, said: “I popped down to the village to get my paper and could see the area outside the bank had been taped off by police.
"There was a forensic officer carrying out their investigation on the street and a forensic van was parked nearby.
“There was also two other police vehicles parked up nearby, but when I went back down later, they had all finished and the tape was gone and it was as if nothing had gone on there.”
Karungire was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on February 24.
Caniggia Jarrett, 24, from Peabody Hill, London, is also accused and is due at crown court on March 31.
