Thieves have stolen 10 metal drain covers from roads in Gillingham overnight.

Residents are being urged to be on the lookout after they went missing from the northern area of the town.

A Medway Council spokesman said: "We want to replace missing drain covers as soon as possible. Uncovered drains can present a danger to road users."

Anyone who finds a drain cover missing should call the council on 01634 333333.
