Police are hunting a driver who apparently made off from the scene of a crash in Densole last night.
As these pictures taken by Florence Thomas show, a telegraph pole was knocked down during the smash.
The incident happened at about 7.15pm on the A260.
The smash which involved a silver estate car happened near the village, which is north of Hawkinge between Folkestone and Barham.
No one else was injured in the smash and no other vehicles were involved.
The telegraph pole was knocked over by the force of the crash which also damaged a fence.
It is understood the road was closed for several hours as police dealt with the crash scene.
A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Kent Police was called at 7.01pm on Monday 12 June 2017 after a car collided with a telegraph pole on the A260 Canterbury Road near Hawkinge.
"The driver of the vehicle left the scene and enquiries into his whereabouts are ongoing. Two passengers, both women, were treated by ambulance staff.
"A road closure was in place until midnight due to the telegraph pole having fallen across the road."
