Firefighters have cut a woman free from a car after it collided with a lorry on the M2 near Chatham.

Ambulance and police were also called to the scene, following the collision on the coastbound carriageway at Junction 3 at about 3.30pm.

The woman was taken to hospital for precautionary checks but was not thought to have been seriously injured.

The slip road leading on to Junction 3 was closed, but was reopened by 5pm.
