Emergency services were called to Gun Lane in Strood after a fire started in a block of flats this afternoon.

Police, fire service and ambulance crews were called just before 12.45pm, and firefighters extinguished a small fire in the living room of what is believed to have been a top floor flat.

Fire crews were on the scene until 2.20pm.

The cause of the fire has yet to be confirmed.
