Emergency crews assist 'distressed woman' in Bill Street Road, Strood

Emergency services were called to a medical incident at a residential property.

Two police cars and an ambulance attended the scene just after 7.30am in Bill Street Road Strood.

Owner of Unique News and Food newsagent, Rajan Kanex said: "There was a couple of police cars that pulled up here and they just started running down."

An ambulance crew attended the incident in Bill Street Road (4080759)

"Then the ambulance came after about five or10 minutes and they went into a house.

"They were in there for about half an hour."

Police officers at the scene said it was a medical incident.

Two police cars got to the scene in Bill Street Road just after 7.30am (4080849)

A man who was in the house where the incident happened said: "It was to do with my girlfriend, it's personal stuff, I don't want to say anymore."

Police spokesman Lucy Hurdle said: "Police were called at 7.39am on Tuesday, September 11 to reports of concern for a distressed woman at a property in Bill Street Road, Strood.

They left the scene at around 8.30am.
