Taryn Wallis is going to her first football match today – the FA Cup final.
And the lucky 10-year-old won’t just be sitting in the stands at Wembley, she will be walking out on to the pitch with the teams.
Taryn, of Howlsmere Close, Halling, will be a mascot for the Emirates FA Cup final between Crystal Palace and Manchester United.
The Halling Primary School pupil won the opportunity when her dad entered her into a national newspaper competition.
Taryn will be on the pitch for about 15 minutes before kick-off and then will join her dad Matt in the stands.
Mr Wallis, 50, a train driver, has been a Crystal Palace fan for almost 30 years.
He said his daughter is a bit nervous about going on the pitch.
“We travel to London on the Friday and go to the stadium to meet some former FA Cup legends that day and then they are putting us up in a hotel for the night.
"Taryn’s really looking forward to it.”
