Firefighters tackle Strood house fire

Firefighters were called after smoke and flames started coming from underneath floorboards at a Strood house.
The emergency services were sent to Hawthorn Road at 7.20pm yesterday.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus put out the fire, before clearing smoke and fumes.
Electrical engineers were called to make sure the wiring was safe.
There are no reports of any injuries and the cause was yet to be confirmed.
