Four treated after fire in Rochester

Four people were treated by paramedics after firefighters put out a kitchen fire in a property in the early hours.

Kent Fire and Rescue were called to the house in Wilson Avenue, Rochester just after midnight.

Four peopke in the house were treated for the effects of breathing in smoke but no-one was taken to hospital.

Crews used a jet and hose reel to extinguish the flames and a ventilation fan to clear smoke and fumes.

The fire is thought to be accidental.
