Free-scoring Invicta Dynamos go into Saturday's game at Bracknell needing just four more goals to take their tally to an impressive 200 in ENIHL Division 1 South for the season.
But head coach Kevin Parrish is unlikely to need reminding that Bracknell are one of only two teams to have beaten Dynamos this season after a 4-3 success on their home ice back in October.
On Sunday, Invicta have what on paper should be a much easier game against bottom-placed Peterborough Islanders, a team they have already scored 38 goals against in three matches this season.
Last Sunday’s 15-4 victory at Haringey Greyhounds, their biggest of the campaign so far, lifted Invicta’s goal average per game to 8.5. Canadian Peter Vaisanen leads the way on 31 goals, with Andy Smith (28), Nicky Lewis (26) and Nolan Boike (19) giving support.
Boike was one of six different Invicta scorers as they breezed past Haringey. The American helped himself to four goals, with the others coming from Smith (3), Joe Johnston (3), Elliot Andrews (2), Loyde Fuller (2) and Lewis.
The Dynamos have lost the services of defenceman David Oliver, who requested his release so that he could rejoin EPL side Romford Raiders.
Parrish told the club website: "Dave will be sorely missed as he was a massive character in the dressing room but we wish him all the best."
Parrish now has to decide whether he needs to find a replacement and he added: "With the size of the squad we have here and the transfer deadline fast approaching, there may not be any changes but I also wouldn’t rule it out."
