Fun and games help aid disabled children

BLUE is the colour, and so is yellow, for raising money for charity. School pupils Gemma Waltham, 11, and Emily Brown, 10, were among the many who wore blue and yellow to help their school's fundraising effort.

The venture, by Sherwin Knight Junior School in Strood, was to raise money for the Whizz Kidz appeal for disabled children.

The event was held during the school's harvest festival which also had a collection for the Sittingbourne-based Demelza House children's hospice.
