Cops are hunting four other men after Medway thug Craig Taylor was put behind bars.

Taylor, 30, was tracked down to his home in Canterbury Street, Gillingham, following a terrifying £30,000 armed robbery where two women in their 20s were tied up at gunpoint.

Jailed: Craig Taylor. PIcture: Metropolitan Police (18920310)

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: "With Taylor behind bars, officers are appealing for members of the public to come forward with information about four other men who, along with Taylor, carried out the violent and cowardly raid."

Taylor and the gang forced their way into a flat in Westcombe Park, Greenwich, and threatened the women with a gun on November 26 last year.

Both women were tied up and threatened before the robbers made off with jewellery, shoes and handbags worth around £30,000. The women needed hospital treatment after their ordeal.

One of the items stolen was a Christian cross necklace which had belonged to the dead sister of one of the women.

Police arrested Taylor at his home in May and found a black handgun, balaclava helmets and a watch belonging to one of the victims.

He appeared at Woolwich Crown Court yesterday and was jailed for 14 years after being found guilty of robbery.

Police are now determined to track down the other four members of the gang. They are all white and with London or south-east accents.

Although he lived in Kent, Taylor also has connections with South Ockendon in Essex.

Anyone with information should call the Met's South East Proactive Unit on 101.
