A cocktail lounge dedicated to serving two of the most popular tipples with drinkers could be opening in a town centre.

Huddy's Gin and Prosecco Bar could move into a former double glazing showroom in Rochester High Street, if a licence to sell alcohol is approved.

An application has been submitted by Cuneyt Kaya whose family also run the Kaya Barbers and the recently-opened Kaya Meze restaurant - both just further along the road.

The Grade II-listed premises used to be occupied by SupaGlazing but has been empty since the business re-located to Knight Road in Strood.

Standing next to The Royal Victoria and Bull Hotel, it occupies a prime spot in the town known for its vibrant night-time economy.
